While the game supports up to twenty players, around fifteen is ideal for the best balance of discussion and pacing.Played face to face and seated in a circle, each player receives a secret role and is placed on either the good team or the evil team. Good players share information and work together to identify and execute the Demon. Evil players lie, mislead, and protect the Demon while quietly eliminating the town.By day, players discuss, accuse, and vote. By night, the Storyteller guides players through their hidden abilities. Each role is unique and meaningful, and no two games ever play out the same way. Even if your character dies, you stay involved as a ghost and can still influence the outcome until the end.If you are attending in person, look for the referee for the game, known as the Storyteller. They will explain the rules, answer questions, and guide everyone through the game.
